materials and their vendor sources

We are looking into expanding our business to include SLS RP and limited-production manufacture of some small parts.

To determine if this is a practical effort or not, we would like to check into the cost and ready availability of SLS materials, a listing of reliable vendors for these materials, and any minimum order requirements that they may have.

So, who uses which vendors, and do they provide prompt service and reasonable-cost materials to you? Is this an area that leads to headaches for any of you, or are the materials selection and vendor field large enough that competition allows for small businesses to get into the RP field? Initial machine costs are excepted, obviously, as that seems to be one thing that the industry seems to announce readily.
